Jiangxi spares no effort in promoting cleaner production of livestock

We learned from the meeting of provincial animal husbandry work held on January 1 that Jaingxi focuses on establishment of cleaner production and standardized demonstration of livestock integrates capital and boosts breeding development of standardized scale. At present, Jaingxi has finished feces management and transformation of 3,600 pig farms whose annual pig sales volume over 1,000, with a transformation task finish rate of 75%. The improvement of breeding level of standardized scale increases live pig exported sales volume in our province. Last year, there were over 12 million live pigs in the whole province transferred to other localities, among which live pigs supplied to Shanghai reached 1.8 million, ranking the first in the country for the first time; among which live pigs supplied to Hong Kong reached 300,000, ranking the second in the country.

To speed up the standardized transformation of livestock farms, the whole province has accumulatively invested 550 million Yuan financial fund, 180 million Yuan incentive fund of transferring live pig out of county, focusing on the standardized transformation of scale breeding farms. The whole country has invested 565 million Yuan and implemented over 500 medium and large methane projects. Through increasing input and specially supporting, it has driven and attracted nearly 1 billion Yuan input of social and private fund, forming a pleasant situation of standardized-scale breeding of multiple investment and development.

To spread advance technology of feces management forcibly, Jiangxi establishes a expert team of livestock cleaner production technology, summarizing and promoting a batch of advanced applicable processes, and actively promoting effective modes like integration of farming and animal husbandry, up-to-standard release and fermentation-bed breeding. At the same time, all regions define livestock forbidden-breeding areas, limited-breeding area and permitted-breeding area; it’s forbidden to build livestock farms in forbidden-breeding areas; relocate or close already existent livestock farms within a limited period; implement in-out balance in limited-breeding areas, strictly control new construction and extension of livestock scale farms; determine total livestock bearing capacity, construct breeding farms according to Plan.
